Who operates the website and what this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how World History Exam Prep handles information when visitors use the website, read educational articles, complete practice questions, interact with embedded functionality, or submit contact and correction reports. The site is available at www.apworldhistoryexamprep.com/ and uses info@apapworldhistoryexamprep.com as its privacy contact. The policy describes the categories of processing that may occur; a feature described here is not necessarily active on every page or for every visitor.
A quick guide to what you can do without an account
The free practice-test library does not require a visitor to create an account or submit a name or email address. You may browse content and attempt questions without sending a contact form. Browsing can still produce ordinary server logs and, depending on active services and your location and choices, analytics or advertising identifiers. Form submission is optional. Do not include sensitive personal information or identifiable student records in messages.
Information generated when pages are requested
Web hosting, content delivery, firewall, anti-abuse, and diagnostic systems may receive IP addresses, date and time, requested URL, referral information, browser and device details, user-agent strings, and information about failed requests or suspected automated traffic. Such records help deliver pages, investigate security events, troubleshoot failures, and maintain the site. Approximate geographic location may be inferred from an IP address; this is not the same as asking for precise GPS location.
Information visitors provide directly
When you contact us or report a question correction, the form may request a name, email address, page URL, question number, description of the issue, and supporting details. We use this information to read the report, investigate a possible error, respond when appropriate, and prevent abusive submissions. Please avoid sending passwords, financial information, medical information, school records, or the names and personal details of students. We do not require this information to evaluate a history question.
Practice-test interactions and browser storage
Some interactive functions may use JavaScript and browser storage to remember temporary interface state or preferences. Whether a particular answer selection or score is stored, and for how long, depends on the implementation of that feature. You can inspect or clear site data through your browser settings. Do not assume that an on-screen score is a permanent record, an official exam result, or a confidential student assessment.
Cookies, pixels, and similar identifiers
Cookies and related technologies may be used by hosting providers, security systems, analytics services, advertising vendors, or embedded tools. These can help recognize a browser, remember preferences, measure page visits, limit abuse, attribute advertising performance, or select and measure ads. Some are first-party technologies associated with this site; others are provided by third parties. Disabling cookies may affect some optional features, but core informational pages should remain available.
Google advertising and third-party advertising vendors
Where Google AdSense or other Google advertising services are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, advertising identifiers, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on visits to this and other websites, subject to applicable settings, consent requirements, and law. Google may use advertising cookies to enable it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on applicable controls. We do not control each third-party vendor’s independent processing or privacy practices. Learn more through How Google uses information in advertising and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Advertising choices and opt-out resources
You can review or adjust Google ad personalization at Google My Ad Center and learn about controls through Google Ads Settings. Industry tools include the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out and the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out. These mechanisms may limit interest-based advertising but generally do not remove all advertising or prevent all measurement and essential cookies. Browser privacy controls and device advertising settings offer additional choices.
Consent, regional privacy rules, and global privacy signals
Certain jurisdictions require consent or other legal conditions before nonessential cookies, personalized advertising, or analytics technologies are used. Where applicable, a consent-management interface should allow visitors to make and revisit their choices. A privacy policy is not a substitute for a correctly configured consent tool. We aim to respect applicable legally recognized opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control where required. Actual behavior depends on the services deployed and should be checked against current regional requirements. If you cannot locate an applicable privacy control, contact us.
Analytics and website measurement
If analytics services are enabled, they may collect page views, session information, approximate location, device/browser characteristics, referral sources, engagement events, and identifiers to help us understand which educational resources are useful and diagnose performance problems. Analytics reports generally focus on aggregate trends, but service providers may process device-level or pseudonymous data. Analytics data is not intended to be used to grade or profile individual students.
Contact and corrections form processing
The contact and corrections forms may use FormSubmit.co as a transmission provider. When a form is submitted, information entered into the form and technical information needed to process the submission may be handled by that service and delivered by email. Review FormSubmit’s published privacy information where available and avoid submitting information you would not want transmitted through a third-party form and email service. We use the submission to respond to inquiries or investigate the cited content.
Why information is processed
Depending on the context and applicable law, processing may be necessary to provide requested pages or communications, pursue legitimate interests such as security and site improvement, comply with legal obligations, or operate optional analytics and advertising on the basis of consent or another permitted legal ground. The appropriate legal basis may vary by location, service, and purpose. We do not represent that a single basis applies universally.
When information may be disclosed
Information may be shared with vendors that support hosting, content delivery, anti-abuse protection, analytics, advertising, email delivery, or form handling; with advisers where necessary; or when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect the website and its users. Third-party advertising and analytics providers may act under their own policies and contractual roles. We do not publish submitted contact details as part of a corrections report without an appropriate reason and permission.
Sale, sharing, and targeted-advertising terminology
Some privacy laws define “sale” or “sharing” broadly enough to include certain disclosures of identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising even when no money changes hands. If those technologies are active, applicable opt-out rights may apply. We do not offer visitor contact-form submissions as a mailing list for sale. Visitors may ask about site-specific advertising practices and applicable rights at the contact address below.
Data retention and deletion
Retention depends on the type of record and the purpose for which it is kept. Routine security logs may be retained for operational periods set by the hosting or security provider; inquiry emails and correction reports may be kept while an issue is investigated and for reasonable follow-up, recordkeeping, or abuse prevention. Analytics and advertising vendors may apply their own retention schedules. We do not state a fixed deletion deadline that has not been independently confirmed across all systems. Where legally applicable, you may request deletion of personal information under our control, subject to exceptions.
Information security and limitations
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the website and its service providers, but no website, email transmission, or storage system is guaranteed secure. Do not submit credentials, financial account details, protected health information, or confidential student records. If you believe a message contains sensitive information submitted in error, contact us promptly with enough information to identify it without repeating the sensitive details.
Children, schools, and student information
This educational website may be visited by minors. Free practice pages do not require a child to register or provide contact details. The site is not designed to collect personal information from children under 13, and visitors should not submit information about identifiable minors. Teachers should not send student rosters, grades, individualized education records, or other school-protected information through public forms. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact us to request review and appropriate action.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection to certain processing, and to opt out of certain targeted advertising or sharing. Some rights are subject to verification and legal exceptions. To make a request, email info@apapworldhistoryexamprep.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and describe the request and relevant website interaction. Please do not send identity documents unless we specifically explain why they are necessary and provide a secure method.
International visitors and cross-border services
Website infrastructure and service providers may process information in countries different from the visitor’s residence. Privacy protections and government access rules may differ across jurisdictions. Where legally required, transfers should be supported by appropriate safeguards. Contact us if you have a question about a particular provider or transfer affecting your information.
External links and third-party sites
Educational pages may link to official course information, reference material, third-party services, or other external resources. Once you follow an external link, the destination’s privacy policy and practices apply. We are not responsible for the content or data practices of independent third-party websites.
Policy changes and how to contact us
We may revise this policy when site features, providers, legal requirements, or privacy practices change. The date on this page identifies the latest published revision; significant changes should be reflected in the relevant disclosures and controls. For questions, privacy requests, or concerns about advertising or form handling, email info@apapworldhistoryexamprep.com or visit Contact. See also our Terms, Disclaimer, and Editorial Policy.
